I live outside the UK; can I still use this service?

Yes we also buy items from outside the UK but we only provide the freepost service for within the UK.

What does you inspection consist of?

The first part of the inspection is to check the details you have entered in the quote match the spec's and condition of the laptop you have sent. We then contact the local authorities to make sure it has not been reported stolen. Once we are satisfied they match, we will test the laptop is functioning properly. On completion we close off the paperwork and issue your payment and then data wipe the system. If there is a problem, we will contract you right away.

What if my laptop model is not in your list?

You just select other from the model drop down or contact us.

I can't seem to get the quote tool to work for my laptop?

Contact us and let us know the details and we will be more than happy to assist you in getting a price for your laptop

How long is my quote valid for?

The website prices change on a daily basis so we suggest securing your price as soon as possible but quotes are held for 14 days after you confirm an order.

I have sensitive information stored on my laptop's hard drive. Should I erase it myself?

It is up to you. We fully erase and reformat each and every hard disk we receive to make sure your data is safe.

My laptop is in bad condition - it's falling apart! I don't think you'd want to buy it.

Yes we also buy laptops in poor and non-working condition. The quote given for this will be the up to price depending on the parts we can salvage upon testing. In most cases we pay the maximum price shown and in the rare case the price is lower, then you may cancel the sale with no penalties and have the laptop returned free of charge.

Do you buy desktops, or any other computer devices?

We only buy laptop and tablet pc's

What do I need to send to you?

Send your laptop, the charger and any software that come with it. Keep the posting receipt for your proof of postage.

How do I have to package my laptop?

If you are packaging your laptop yourself we suggest you use a sturdy box and bubble wrap you item to avoid any damage in transit.

How do I get the box back to you?

Just attach the label we email you to the outside of the box. Make sure it's sealed securely then take it to any UK post office and hand it over, it's completely free and you don't need to wait in all day for a courier to collect.

If I cancel how much will it cost to get my laptop back?

There is no charge for any laptops returned to the customer. Your laptop will be returned within 14 days.

What payment methods do you support?

We will make payment by Cheque payment, Paypal and Direct Bank Transfer.

When do I get paid?

As soon as your machine has been accepted it will be put forward for payment and completed within 48 business hours

My Cheque hasn't arrived, what can I do?

We require 14 days from date of issue for lost cheques at which point we will either issue a new cheque or use the Direct Bank Transfer option. The easiest way to avoid this in the first place is to use the payment by Paypal or Bank transfer option which is much quicker and safer.
